Spread of China's Peach Worship and Its Influence in Japan

桃木辟邪的观念很早就从中国传入了日本。从日本最新的考古学成果说起,来检讨桃信仰民俗与日本人生活的联系,主要表现在桃信仰民俗的辟邪观念、长寿观念对日本的影响,以及日本古代贵族与民间文学中桃信仰民俗的影响等方面,从中还可以看到这一传播与影响过程的主要特征。

The idea that peach wood can drive away evil spirits was spread to Japan long,long ago.This paper,starting from the latest archaeological achievements of Japan,makes an investigation into the connection between peach worship and the Japanese daily life.Such connection is manifested in the Japanese conviction that peach can exorcise evil force,the concept of longevity,peach worship among ancient Japanese aristocrats and that as depicted in folk literature.Main features in this process of dissemination can be observed therefrom.
