唯物史观"始终站在现实历史的基础上","从物质实践出发来解释观念的形成","根据经验去研究现实的物质前提",实现了从历史之外回到历史之内、从抽象世界回到现实世界的哲学革命,即对传统形而上学哲学观念的彻底革命,使作为"现实中的个人"一种属性的形而上学本身重新回到人身怀抱里;它是"沿着实证科学和利用辩证思维对这些科学成果进行概括的途径"的"关于现实的人及其历史发展的科学"。唯物史观的历史是指包括人所遭遇到的自然和思维在内的"人类史"。唯物史观就是马克思主义哲学世界观。马克思恩格斯的哲学不是以本体论或存在论为核心的传统形而上学。

Historical materialism,always based on the current history,interprets the formation of concepts from material practice with the premise of researching the reality from experiences.Thereby,historical materialism has actualized the philosophical breakthrough from abstract world to the realistic world which revolutionized the traditional philosophy of metaphysics.Thus,this makes individual in the world with the feature of metaphysics return to the realistic world.It is the science about the people in the current world and its development through empirical study and critical thinking.History in historical materialism means the history of human beings including the surrounding environment and nature.Historical materialism amounts to the world value of Marxist philosophy.Marxist and Engels philosophy is not the traditional metaphysic whose focus is on ontology.
