There is a gender difference in brain structure and function.A lot of study shows that female is more sensitive to fear stimuli. In this study, the authors use implicit paradigm to study the gender difference affection on fear stimuli processing. In EXP1,100 pictures were chosen form 523.Those pictures which include fear stimuli and neutral stimuli were similar in arousal but different in fear strength and valence. In EXP2,oddball was applied and subject was informed to do a standard stimuli and deviant stimuli classification. The result shows, under implicit paradigm, this is no difference for male in reaction time and correct rate between fear stimuli and neutral stimuli. However, female responded to fear stimuli faster than neutral stimuli and correct rate of fear stimuli is better than neutral stimuli.
