本文着重从汉英两种语言背景文化的差异入手,以《红楼梦》中委婉语的翻译为例分析了各种常用的翻译方法在委婉语翻译中的使用情况。通过对比不同译本的翻译方法和汉英文化的差异,来探寻汉英的文化特点及其在跨文化翻译中的重要指导意义。

This thesis deals with the different ways of translation on euphemisms in Dream of Red Mansion from the perspective of the divergence of different national cultures.By contrasting different versions of translation and discrepancy between Chinese and English culture,this thesis tries to probe into the different cultural features in Chinese and English nations,which is of great significance in cross-cultural translation.
