The Synergic Evolution of Local Government Cooperation and Regional Spatial Structure: A Case Study of the Pearl River Delta City Group

地方政府合作与区域空间结构存在协同演化关系。地方政府合作通过影响区域空间布局、地域分工专业化和区域空间整合来影响区域空间结构,区域空间结构通过影响合作共识、合作范围、合作领域以及合作机制来影响地方政府合作。根据二者的相互作用机理,实现地方政府合作与区域空间结构的动态协同演化,需要不断改善府际关系。对珠江三角洲城市群发展的实证分析印证了这一原理。

There is a synergistic evolutionary relationship between local government cooperation and regional spatial structure.Through the spatial distribution of a region,the regional division of labor specialization and the integration of regional space,local government cooperation can influence regional spatial structure;through the consensus on cooperation,the scope of cooperation,the content of cooperation and the mechanism of cooperation,regional spatial structure can influence local government cooperation.Based on this mechanism,intergovernmental relations should be enhanced in order to achieve the synergistic evolutionary relationship between local government cooperation and regional spatial structure,which is confirmed by the case study of the Pearl River Delta city group.However,the development of the city group also faces some obstacles.Therefore,this region needs to strengthen local government cooperation.
