高功率毫米波辐射对猕猴皮肤的损伤效应

Injurious effects on skin of rhesus monkeys induced by high power millimeter wave radiation

摘要 目的研究高功率毫米波辐射对猕猴皮肤的损伤效应。方法采用功率密度分别为0.5和1.0 W/cm2的94 GHz高功率毫米波辐射,通过红外测温仪和视频监控系统实时监测辐射过程中猕猴体温及行为改变,动态观测辐射后0~56 d皮肤创面变化。结果 (1)辐射过程中,猕猴先后出现微动、扭头、眨眼及剧烈挣扎等行为改变,以1.0 W/cm2组较迅速和明显;0.5 W/cm2组开始剧烈反应时间较1.0 W/cm2组延迟15~20 s,胸腹部较面部延迟5~10 s;(2)1.0 W/cm2组体表最高温升较0.5 W/cm2组约高15℃,胸腹部明显高于面部;辐射面部和腹部时开始剧烈反应温升为10~15℃,胸部为25℃左右;(3)辐射后即刻皮肤呈红斑反应,1~7 d进行性加重,局部破溃、感染、化脓,伴渗出和出血;14~28 d渐减轻,局部结痂,至56 d呈条索状瘢痕愈合。1.0 W/cm2组红斑及破损面积明显大于0.5 W/cm2组,胸腹部较面部严重,且愈合延迟。结论高功率毫米波辐射致猕猴皮肤损伤与其体表温升、辐射剂量及部位均密切相关,胸腹部损伤较面部严重。 Objective To investigate the injurious effects on the skin of rhesus monkeys after high power millimeter wave radiation.Methods High power millimeter wave radiation at 94 GHz frequency with a power density of 0.5 and 1.0 W/cm2 was used respectively.Changes in body temperature and behavior of rhesus monkeys were detected during radiation with the infrared thermometer and video monitoring system.The raw surface of the skin was observed and measured at 0-56 d after radiation.Results(1)During radiation,the behavior changes of monkeys,including jiggle,head turn,blink and struggle,were more obvious in group 1 W/cm2.The first intensive response in group 0.5 W/cm2 was occurred 15-20 s later than in group 1 W/cm2.Moreover,at the breast and belly it was delayed 5-20 s compared with the face.(2)The maximum increase of temperature of the body surface in group 1 W/cm2 was about 15℃ higher than that in group 0.5 W/cm2,more remarkable at both the breast and belly than in the face.The temperature increase at the time of first intensive response was 10-15℃ for radiation of the face and belly,but about 25℃ for the breast.(3)Skin showed erythematous response immediately after radiation.The injury was aggravated during 1-7 d,which showed partial skin destruction,infection and diapyesis,accompanied by exudation and hemorrhage and scrotum flare.During 14-28 d,the injury was alleviated,and part of the skin scabbed.Up to 56 d,skin injury healed with cord-like cicatricle.Areas of skin erythema and destruction in group 1 W/cm2 were obviously larger than in group 0.5 W/cm2.Furthermore,the breast and belly were more serious with delayed healing.Conclusion Skin injury of rhesus monkeys caused by high power millimeter wave radiation depends on temperature increase,radiation dose and position.Injury to the breast and belly is more serious than to the face.
