偏振调控全光开关的设计分析

摘要 给出了一种工作波长为1550nm,基于电光偏振调控的1×2全光开关的设计方法,该光开关由TE-TM模式转换器和偏振分束光栅构成。通过TE-TM模式转换器控制输出信号光的偏振态,由偏振分束光栅选择输出端口。所设计的全光开关两出射端口的串音分别低于-72dB和-33dB,可实现纳秒量级的开关速率,且串音小、结构简单,在全光开关的设计应用中具有重要的参考价值。 A high performance all-optical switch with electro-optic polarization control is present.The all-optical switch is based on the TE-TM mode converter and rectangular fused-silica subwavelength grating for the wavelength of 1550nm.The polarizations of output signal are controlled by TE-TM mode converter,and the output ports are switched by the rectangular subwavelength fused-silica grating.It is shown the crosstalk of switches(i.e.output-1 and output-2) is-72dB and-33dB,respectively.The all-optical switch can be realized rate of nanoseconds and has simple structure,high reliability,low cost and so on.It has a wide range of applications in the all-optical fiber communication network.
