E.E.卡明斯是20世纪美国著名的现代主义诗人,也是20世纪英美实验派诗人中的佼佼者。他那以"古怪的印刷体式"编排的"一句话诗歌"不仅将传统诗歌有关诗节、音韵和格律的规则彻底推翻,而且还将诗句和词汇拆得粉碎。这种偏离常规的诗歌形式就形成了"陌生化"的效果。用"陌生化"的技巧解读卡明斯的"古怪的印刷体式"诗歌,我们看到的就不再是诗歌表面的杂乱无章,而是诗歌内在的和谐与统一。

E. E. Cummings is one of the most distinguished American modernist poets, and he is also anoutstanding expermentalist poet. His ＂one-sentence＂ poems ,which use the ＂eccentric typography＂, not only completely break the traditional ways of writing poems, such as, stanza, meter, and rhythm, bus also tear apart words and phrases in the poems. However, a defamiliarization effect is achieved through this innovational form. We can notice the unification of the meanings of the poem but the seemingly disorder of the poem.
