Metaphor is widely used in Business English as a cognitive phenomenon. Many basic words are converted to business terms through metaphorical way, while nominalization ofgrammatical metaphor makes Business English more precise, objective and informative. Based on the Systematic Functional Grammar of Halliday ,this essay analyzes the grammatical metaphor in Business English through abundant examples, aiming to provide a new perspective to probe into Business English and the application of grammatical metaphor in practice.
