With an explanation of the design considerations of the infrared optical wireless communication systems,the paper briefly describes the features of pulse position modulation and pulse interval modulation in comparison with on off keying,the angle diversity receiver and space division multiplexing,and the application of infrared optical wireless systems in Local Area Networks.
