Translation is a cross-cultural communication involving many factors. Based on D. Davidson’s "triangulation" model of communication by language, this paper has made a research into the intersubjectivity in translation. D. Davidson uses "triangulation" to represent the person-person-world interaction in language communication. The causal interactions among a person, another person and their common world determine the thought. Communication by language is intersubjective. From this perspective, as a cross cultural communication, translation ought to be a kind of exchange and dialogue between the subjects participating in translation rather than the monologue of one subject. The setting of any one factor as a center would do harm to translation as a means of cross-cultural communcation.
