摘要
本研究主要探讨目前中学英语教师跨文化敏感度和高中英语文化教学的现状以及引起这种现状的原因。从参与研究的35名高中英语教师可以看出,教师整体的跨文化敏感度处在较好状态,但在实际教学过程中,文化教学并没有得到应有重视,传统的以教师为中心的教学方法仍然是中学英语的主流。文化教学形式单一,缺乏培训和过重的语言教学目标是导致这一现状的主要原因。
The research attempts to explore the present state of the intercultural sensitivity of today’s English teachers in senior high schools, and find out the underlying factors responsible for it in the domain of high school TEFL(teaching English as foreign language). 35 English teachers from different senior high schools participated in the study. The results presented that the majority of English teachers had a relatively high intercultural sensitivity, but the practice of culture teaching were not quite qualified. The activities of culture teaching are quite monotonous. For teachers, Lack of training and guide and heavy burden of language teaching are the major difficulties in culture teaching.
