Traditional paper-based test is turned into computer-assisted language test in computer-assisted college English test in which the listening proportion is largely increased.The changein testing pattern is the rightmomentfor the revolution of college English teaching approaches.The thesis introduces the composition and characteristics of computer-assisted college English test,and it puts forward that teachers should make full use of the Internet,multimedia and other teaching materials and they should apply various teaching approaches to train and improve college students＇listening and speaking ability.Meanwhile teachers should enhance students＇interest and confidence in English learning in order to improve autonomous learning ability.It also raises the importance of the Internet teaching and of constructing a platform of learning resources.
