摘要
提出了一种可调谐选频变频器,利用半导体光放大器( S L A) 中的非简并四波混频( N D F W M) 过程实现波长转换.建立了 S L A 中 N D F W M 光变频器的理论模型,对 S L A 光变频器的变频机理及变频特性进行了分析与讨论.主要讨论了器件的一些特性参数对其变频效率及变频范围的影响,同时还分析了选频变频器的输出噪声特性.该器件响应速度快,变频效率高.变频范围大,完全能够满足密集波分复用系统中高速、大容量、可调谐的要求.
A kind of tunable frequency\|selective converter based on nondegenerate four\|wave mixing(NDFWM) in semiconductor laser amplifier(SLA) is proposed in this paper. The coupling model of the frequency\|selective converter in SLA is established first, and then the converting mechanism and characteristics are analyzed. The influences of its property parameters on the output efficiency, and the frequency shift are primarily discussed. And the property of the output noise of the frequency\|selective converter has been studied as well. The superior performance of the converter, such as short response time, high conversion efficiency, and large conversion range, makes it favorable for use in DWDM networks where high speed and tunableness are required.
