Both the forest resource situation and its dynamic changes in Shandong Province are ana lyzed ,and the resource situation characters are evaluated in this papen :Accordingly ,the countermeasures ofthe forest resource protection and development in market economic system are raised :increasing the knowledge and consciousness to the resource protection and development,speading up the tree planting and making the land green quickly ,enlarging the forest resources ,implementing the classification man agement ,making wellthe forestry plan ,strengthening the resource management,adminstering forestry ac cording to laws and strengthening regulating and controlfunction ofthe government on forestresources .
