Search engines are considered to be the most effective information searching tools on the Internet.The characteristic functions and special searching syntax of frequently used search engines,including Google,Baidu,Bing,Yahoo,Sogou,Youdao,SoSo,were compared and the application in the academic information searching was analyzed.
