谁之“文化”与何种“现代化”——立足“社会思潮”的视野对“文化现代化”研究所作的审视

摘要 "文化现代化"研究在理论层面上遭遇的诸多困惑与迷茫,事实上常常与"社会思潮"揭橥的论断及其引发的争论相关联。新自由主义思潮激活的"文化普遍主义"和"文化相对主义"之争,无论从学术层面还是现实进路来看,都应该在辩证理解中得以有限展开。后殖民话语恰好适切了"地方现代性"或"多元现代性"的现代化进路,对于文化现代化研究自当具有理论廓清和实践澄明功效。中国文化复兴乃至民族复兴直接与中国传统文化能否成功地实现现代化转型相关涉。某种意义上,东方的"文化中心主义"心态要比西方的"文化中心主义"激进和顽固得多。中国文化现代化的研究进路,必须正视世界多元文化共存与新的"轴心时代"渐次发育之"捆绑式"历史真实与趋向。 Lots of experienced confusion and perplexity of the study on "cultural modernization" in the theoretical level,in fact,are often connected with the "social trend" and its associated controversy.The dispute activated by the new liberalism between "cultural universalism" and "cultural relativism",should be understood dialectically with a limit,no matter in academic level or in reality road.Post-colonial discourse just matches the "local modernity" or "multiple modernity",which is helpful for the theoretical clarification and practical clearance of "cultural modernization".Chinese Cultural Renaissance or even the national revival depends on whether traditional Chinese culture can carry out modernization transition successfully.In a sense,the oriental idea of "Cultural centralism" is deeper and more stubborn than the Western.Chinese cultural modernization must face the reality and trends of the multicultural co-existence and the new "Axial Age".
