民国建筑是20世纪产生的人类共同文化遗产,南京作为民国的首都,民国建筑具有典型性、代表性和独创性。1949年国民党政权退出大陆后,南京的民国建筑经历了由默默无闻到引人注目的发展历程。通过对民国建筑特点的阐述,指出了由于主客观因素的影响,民国建筑正面临着一系列亟待解决的问题;同时提出了相应的保护和利用措施。希望对我国民国建筑的保护和利用具有借鉴作用。

Minguo building （ built during 1912-1949 ） is a common heritage of mankind. Nanjing , as the capital of the Republic of China, its Minguo building is typical, representative and originality. In 1949, as the KMT regime quit the mainland, Minguo building in Nanjing experienced the development process from obscurity to striking.
