语言是人类最最重要的交际工具,因此任何语言都需要有一定的语法规范。但是,语言又是发展变化的,随着人类思维的发展与社会的发展,语言又必须突破旧有的语法规范而有所创造。艺术语言便是人们突破旧有语法规范而锐意创新的产物,是语言发展变化的活力与动力。因此,研究语言而不重视艺术语言的研究,那是重大的学术缺憾。《艺术语言———普通语言的超越》一书的出版,无论是从理论还是实践上看,都将有益于语言学与修辞学研究的深化,亦会对文学研究的范式产生重要的影响。

Language is a vital communication tool for human beings,and thus grammatical rules and regulations are necessary.However,language needs development.With the progress of the human society,language needs breaking through some rules and regulations for a further development.Artistic language is,of course,the offspring of common language development.Thus,it is a great pity if we ignore artistic language in the language researches.The publication ofArtistic Language beyond Common Language will theoretically and practically benefit the further researches of linguistics,rhetoric and literature.
