Discussion on the Growth of Peanut Industry in Liaoning

花生是辽宁主要油料作物之一,种植区域以辽西北半干旱地区为主,但一直以来花生产量处于较低水平,种植品种比较单一,种植技术以传统栽培方式为主。对辽宁花生产业发展潜力剖析表明,全省花生产量仍有增长空间,花生品质较受市场欢迎,花生种植效益逐步提高,自主选育品种增多,加工企业逐渐发展。为了进一步促进花生产业发展,还需要加快品种改良、提高机械化作业水平、推广先进适用技术、发展深加工业等,有效延长花生产业链条。

Peanut is a major oil crop in Liaoning,most of which is planted in semiarid region in the northwest of Liaoning province.Yet,the peanut yields there have remained at a low level,the plantation variety is limited,and the cultivation techniques are mostly traditional.The examination on the peanut production in Liaoning shows a substantial potential for an increase in peanut yields and a rise in economic returns and in seed selections.In order to stimulate the growth in peanut production,the author stresses that efforts should be made to accelerate the breed improvement,improve mechanical production level,adopt advanced techniques,and develop intensive processing industry.
