Through reviewing the historical and cultural protection in Chongqing＇s urban construction process,revealing its features in various phrases,summarizing its experience in historical and cultural protection,and analyzing the relationship between urban construction and historical and cultural protection,the author points out that they should not go against each other and should become a mutually inclusive community.The characteristics and enchantment of a city are positively correlated to the protection of its historical and cultural resources.
