ORACLE 10g was used as database and ArcGIS was used as diagram platform for surface construction GIS in Qinghe Oil Production Plant,by which the map inquest,retrieval,statistics and analysis on oil,gas,water,electricity and road were implemented in the plant.The application indicates that the GIS plays advanced role in management decision,programming,design and construction.The operation requirements and practice of its database maintenance and update for GIS are introduced,it improves the operating ability of the database and guarantees the timeliness,completion an accuracy of the database.
