高职院校学生英语应用能力培养实践探究

On Improving Students’ Competence of English Use in Higher Vocational Education

现行高职英语教学模式和学生英语应用能力的培养严重脱节,造成了学生英语学习兴趣和学习动力的缺失以及教学的被动局面。根据学生实际以及市场和专业需求,优化教学资源,加强学生英语应用能力培训,是提高高职学生英语兴趣和应用能力的有效途径。

Due to the fact that the current English teaching model popular in higher vocational education can not serve the development of the learners＇ competence in English use, students＇ interest in and enthusiasm for English learning are dramatically reduced. While English teaching in higher vocational education is in an embarrassed situation, we should optimize all the educational resources available to arouse students＇ interest in English learning and improve their competence in English use by giving the first priority to creating proper situation for using English in practice based on the individual reality of every specific student, their job prospect and the requirement of the market.
