新民主主义革命和社会主义革命是中国共产党领导的第一次革命。在社会主义社会建立后,社会主义现代化建设和改革开放则是中国共产党领导的第二次革命。社会主义改造的基本完成,实现了第一次革命向第二次革命的转变,成为第二次革命的开端,十一届三中全会是第二次革命进程中的伟大历史转折,同时也是第二次历史性飞跃的开端。当前,第二次历史性飞跃正在进行中,继续发生层次性和阶段性的理论飞跃。这些部分质变的积累将最终使第二次历史性飞跃得以总体性完成。

The new democratic revolution and the socialist revolution were the 1st revolution led by the Communist Party of China.After a socialist society was built,the socialist modern construction and opening and reforming were the 2nd revolution led by the Communist Party of China.The completion of socialist reform ushered in the 2nd revolution,signaling the change from the 1st revolution to the 2nd.The 3rd Plenum of the 11th CPC Congress was the turning point in the 2nd revolution as well as the beginning of the 2nd historic leap.At present,the ongoing 2nd historic leap is bringing about one theoretical leap after another,which will cumulate in an overall 2nd historic leap.
