The starch is a natural polymer,and its wide variety of sources,varieties,low cost,completely degraded in the natural environment as carbon dioxide and water,will not cause any pollution in the environment.Starch-based biodegradable plastics become the largest domestic and international research and develop a class of biodegradable plastics.The structure and biological properties of starch,starch-based focus on bio-degradable plastic applications and research developments were briefly described.
