摘要
培养学生跨文化交际能力是外语教学的重要任务之一,目前我国多数外语院系已开设了跨文化交际学课程,学生在学习本课程之前,对交际能力的自我感知将会对该课程的教学产生重要影响。运用语篇分析法,对山西、陕西等地六所大学的692名英语专业学生进行了交际能力感知研究。研究结果表明,英语专业学生对交际能力的感知主要有三种类型:交际能力被视为行为素质(quality of perform-ance);交际能力被看成是身体的(physical)或智力的(intellectual)能力;交际能力被等同于社交能力(sociality)。
Developing the students' intercultural communication competence is one of the main tasks of FLT. Now the course Intercultural Communication has been offered in most foreign languages departments. Students' perception of communicative competence before taking the course will have a great influence on the teaching of the course. By using discourse analytical approach, the paper conducted a study of 692 students of English major in six universities in Northern China. The resplts show that students' perception of communication competence characterizes as the following:a conception of communication compe- tence as quality of performance;conceptions of communication competence varying from the purely physical to the purely intellectual:a concention of communication competence as a form of sociality.
