随着2010年1月1日中国—东盟自由贸易区正式建立,中国与东盟的跨境贸易额必将出现大幅度的增长,从而引出用哪种国家的货币进行结算可以有效地保障双方交易主体的利益、规避贸易风险的问题。由于中国近年来在国际经济中的作用与地位,以及以美元为中心的布林顿森林体系的瓦解,使推进人民币在中国—东盟自由贸易区境内进行跨境贸易结算的进程就成了现阶段应着力解决的一项实际问题。本文从人民币在中国—东盟自由贸易区境内结算①的机遇、现实基础两个方面分析人民币在这一过程中所具备的优势与面临的挑战,并建议应从意识的培养与金融服务的提升等方面加快推进人民币在中国—东盟自由贸易区跨境结算的脚步。
