Introductory Researches on the Narrative Features of a Graphic Novel

本文就国外研究热门——图文小说这一体裁的叙事特点进行介绍性研究。在分析与对比国外学者关于图文小说研究的基础上,本文概述了图文小说的定义及特点,阐述了其四个重要组成部分,以及各自在叙事中的作用。简言之,图文小说属于多模态叙事,通过图和文两种符号渠道进行,两者互相合作、互为线索。

This article is an introductory research on the narrative features of a graphic novel which is a foreign hot research topic.Based on the analysis and comparison of the relevant foreign researches on graphic novels,this article briefly introduces the definition and characteristics of the graphic novel,and illustrates its four basic elements and their functions in the narration.In conclusion,the graphic novel is a kind of multimodal narration.Its multimodal narration is conducted by two cooperative and complementary semiotic channels – text and picture.
