摘要
模具英语属科技英语范畴,在词汇上、句法上,乃至语篇上都有着鲜明的模具行业特点。文章就该领域缩略语类别多,交叉学科专业术语多,定义各种工艺过程的句型多,特殊句型多以及图表、符号、公式多等五个方面来探讨模具英语语言特点,并提出相应的翻译策略。
This paper discusses the special linguistic features of English used in molding industry,which include abbreviations,interdisciplinary terminologies,sentence patterns for defining various technological processes,peculiar sentence patterns,as well as charts,symbols and formulae.Also provided are strategies for translating texts of molding industry.
