By selecting and analyzing a number of significant terms oft-used in the current American financial crisis reports,this article examines the various and different versions of Chinese translation of the terms,which are compared on the basis of the principles of accuracy and conciseness in terminology translation.The author attempts to put forth some suggestions regarding the translation of abbreviations,and compares and contrasts the exact meaning and usage of some similar terms in hope of the standardization of terms translation.
