摘要
经济语篇中的英语是以国际经济活动为背景的应用性英语,是人们从事经济交流活动时主要使用的语言,其文体及语言有明显的行业特征。本文以经济语篇词语和句子的翻译为例,探讨经济语篇翻译的原则和标准,分析其文体特点,并着重指出翻译经济语篇必须体现忠实性的原则。
Economic English refers to the pragmatic language used in the specific field of economy,which business people use to communicate with each another in doing business.The style of Economic English is formal with professional features.This essay explores the translation criteria for Economic English as ＂faithfulness＂,with an analysis on particular examples quoted from economic materials.
