在以中国东南沿海为中心的海洋文化繁荣、发展的"环中国海"地带,历代海洋族群在"多元一体"的中华民族发展史上占据重要地位。史前、上古时期的东夷、百越先民,是中华海洋文化的奠基者。汉唐以来汉化的夷越后裔与南迁的汉人融合的"华南汉人"这个新的海洋族群,作为中华海洋文明的传承、发展的主力,将"环中国海"推向世界海洋文化舞台上最活跃的区域。而"倭人"、高丽、琉球等的登陆,海路回族的舶来,欧风东渐,这些海洋"非我族类"的传播与互动,促成了中华海洋文明丰富、发展与变迁。

In the development of the marine culture with southeast China sea as the center, the marine groups of all generations have played a crucial role in the pluralistic integration of the Chinese nation. In ancient times, the ancestors of the Dongyis and Baiyues were the initiators of the marine culture of China. After the Han and the Tang dynasties, the descendants of the Dongyis and Baiyues and the Han migrants formed the new marine group called ＂Hans in South China＂, who were the major force for inheriting and developing the marine culture of China and made China Sea a focus on the world marine stage. The arrival of the Japanese, the Koreans and the Liuqius plus the sea-going Huis and the influence of Europe enriched, changed and promoted the marine culture of China.
