从物理方法的角度分析了物理假说的几种起源．以大量的物理假说为依据，指出物理理论与物理实验的矛盾，及物理理论自身的矛盾是产生物理假说的源泉，某一阶段物理理论的突破亦是产生物理假说的良好时机．此外，还特别说明了当理论与实验发生矛盾时，引入假说的三个方面：引入辅助性假说完善原有的理论；引入革命性假说变革原有的理论；
