This paper studies on the on line self adaptive simulation and optimization operating system for the ethyl benzene / styrene distilling apparatus in order to achieve higher production quality and lower energy cost. Combining the statistic model with the chemical mechanism model, the best value of the controllable variables can be gained. By using these variables, the system operates accurately, with high efficiency.
