On the basis of analyzing Cao Qiqiao＇s characters, the heroine in the novel the Golden Chain, this paper proposes that it is feudal patriarchal domination, money, sexual passion, and feudal marriage system all together that made her an woman without love, and also it is because of these factors that led to her and other people＇s tragic lives finally.
