Fast Motion Estimation Algorithm for Video Transcoding

摘要 提出一种基于输入码流信息的视频转码快速运动估计算法。该算法利用输入码流的运动矢量和系数信息合成预测运动矢量,分析当前宏块对应转码前区域宏块运动矢量的一致性,结合图像的运动活跃性,自适应地调整编码运动估计的搜索策略。实验结果表明,与菱形搜索算法相比,该算法能够降低20%以上的编码时间,同时保持良好的图像质量;与AMVR-DIM算法相比,其运算性能和图像质量均有所提高。 Fast motion estimation algorithm based on the inputted stream information is proposed for the down-sizing video transcoding. The predicted motion vector is synthesized by using the motion vectors and coefficients of the inputted stream. The conformity of the motion vectors in the related region is analyzed. The search strategy of motion estimation is adjusted according to the predicted motion vector, the conformity and the frame activity. Experimental results show that, this algorithm reduces above 20% of encoder time as compared to the diamond search algorithm, while it maintains a reasonable video quality. It also achieves higher performance and better quality than AMVR-DIM algorithm.
