Engineering plastics can be applied to make simple chain elements or complex chain links.Their typical constructions are diccussed. In the load- deformation curve, the steel chain shows a ytelding point, a max stress point and an ultimate desmiction point, while plastic chain shows no yielding point.The choice of the dimensions of the engineering plastic chain is in accordance with the ' Allowable Tension', which means the tensile foroe under which an engineering plastie chain may be safely working. The article also introduces the friction and wear ocoutring when the engineering plastic chain is used in the coupling running.
