摘要
《圣诞颂歌》、《着魔的人》和《发信号的人》是狄更斯在不同时期创作的具代表性的鬼故事。狄式鬼故事中,幽灵意象作为人的镜像式他者映射了小说主人公的局限和缺失。幽灵以震撼和提醒的方式促使主人公实现了美好人性的回归,构成了狄氏鬼故事的共同主题。狄更斯将圣诞节因素和鬼故事元素有机结合起来,表达了对社会和人性的反思和救赎意图。作者规避了"鬼之存在与否"的问题,用"神奇"的文体创作出了更具人文价值的超自然小说。
A Christmas Carol,The Haunted Man and The Ghost＇s Bargain,and The Signaler are representative short stories by Charles Dickens published during different periods.As the mirror of human beings,the ghost images reflect the limit and defect of the protagonists of the stories.The ghosts shake and remind them to find their beautiful heart back,and this consists of the theme of the ghost stories.Dickens mixes Christmas background and the elements of ghost story together,expresses the rethinking of society and humanity and the intention of Salvation.The author evades the question of ＂whether ghosts exist or not＂,and creates his supernatrual fiction of much more abundant humanity value by using a marvelous style.
