On the Construction of Voluntary Service System at College

在现代社会,志愿服务是公众参与社会生活的一种重要形式,也是社会福利服务中越来越重要的一股力量。志愿服务有别于由国家从孝道主义原则出发规定和提供的法定服务,由事物主体按等价交换和"购买力"法则提供的私人服务,以及由亲属、邻里按特殊性原则及需要原则提供的非正式照顾服务。在高校开展大学生志愿服务活动,有助于学生高尚品德的养成,有利于在全社会树立奉献、友爱、互助、进步的时代新风。

As a new-born thing since the reform and opening-up,volunteer service has accommodated itself to the deep-going changes undergone by different social structures,social organizations and different patterns of social benefits,and has fulfilled hopes of people of all walks of life to assist others,to serve society and to realize the value of their life with its multiple forms and its flexibility in operation.Again,as an effective form and an important vehicle for the broad social members to receive moral education and practice under the conditions of socialist market economy,it has become the synonym of ＂nobleness＂,abreast with the era in its own development.Volunteer service among College Students helps them to cultivate noble character,to create the fresh new atmosphere of the present era of devotion,love,and mutual aid.
