基于语料库的科技语篇名词化隐喻运用对比研究——以中国学生与英语本族语者理工科硕士论文摘要为例 被引量:9

摘要 根据语料库语言学方法,以语法隐喻为视角,研究发现中国学生科技语篇中名词化手段的特点以及与英语本族语者之间存在显著差异:中国学生动名词的使用率高于英语本族语者;不定式、派生性名词和名词性小句等名词化手段则低于英语本族语者。在概念隐喻方面,中国学生更倾向于使用动词、形容词和副词;在人际隐喻方面,中国学生对影响名词化手段使用的人称代词和情态动词的运用比英语本族语者多;在语篇隐喻方面,中国学生较少使用名词化手段建立主位-述位衔接,英语本族语者则较多使用这一手段。 This paper reports on a corpus-based contrastive study on metaphoric application of nominalization in scientific discourse between Chinese EFL learners and English native speakers.The major findings are as follows:There is significant difference in use of nominalization between Chinese EFL learners and native speakers from the perspective of grammatical metaphor.Gerundial nominalization has been highly employed by Chinese learners while infinitive,lexical nominalization and sentential nominalization have been widely used by native speakers.Specifically,in ideational metaphor,Chinese learners tend to use verbs,adjectives and adverbs.In interpersonal metaphor,native speakers make better use of nominalization to replace personal pronoun and model verb than Chinese learners.In discourse metaphor,Chinese learners seldom use nominalization to realize the cohesion between theme and rheme than native speakers.This study sheds some implications in improving Chinese EFL learners' scientific discourse.
