在建立和完善社会主义市场经济的过程中,正确界定政府经济职能有着重要的意义。本文运用理论联系实际的方法,通过对西方政府经济职能理论和中国政府经济职能演变历史的回顾,指出现阶段我们必须建立有限政府和服务政府,才能适应社会主义市场经济的要求,才能发挥好政府的经济职能。

It is important to define the economic functions of Chinese government if we want to perfect our socialist market economy.This article combines theory with practice,and reviews the occidental government economic function theories and the evolution of Chinese government′s economic functions.The conclusion is that we should set up limited government and service government.
