摘要
写作能力作为英语语言(听说读写)四大功能之一,一直以来是学生英语实用能力的弱项。在中外合作办学的专业课程中,为了帮助学生取得留学资格,设置了雅思考试辅导这门课程。然而,雅思考试的测试内容决定了它的作用绝不仅仅能帮助学生获取海外院校就读的机会,它更能够培养学生在英语国家生存的语言能力,可以毫无疑问地被视作中外合作办学教育的桥梁。它培养并测试学生的听说读写能力,在写作单项中又分别设置了数据分析型小作文和社会热点话题讨论性议论文。这足见海外院校对学生写作能力的重视程度。而这一项是在学生问卷调查中以74%比例呈现出学生对其难度的共识。本文针对突破学生写作的瓶颈,利用格式语汇的功用来探索雅思议论文的写作捷径。
Writing ability has been the weakest among the four fundamental language abilities,namely listening,reading,speaking and writing.In order to help students,who aim at furthering their study overseas after three years' college life in China,to gain the qualification to enter the our cooperative college overseas,IELTS tutoring course is arranged for them.However,IELTS severs not only as a test to get admittance but also a process through which students' overall English ability can be highly improved.The content of the IELTS examination is the evidence to the previous opinion.For example,in respect to IELTS academic writing,there are two tasks: a chart analysis report and an argumentative essay,whose topics are all related to candidates' future overseas living and studying.In this sense,IELTS is a means to improve one's survival ability in English context.Whereas,writing as mentioned before,is the most difficult module so that the average scores of candidate in our college are roughly 74%.This is the necessity for doing IELTS writing researches.This article is one of them tackling the problem of the lack of linking words in students' written production.
