摘要
根据Chomsky的语言设计,语言之间的差异在于参数设置,参数设置的关键在于将特征组装成词项。Lard iere据此提出的二语习得特征组装假说认为一切特征皆可及,特征对比能识别;二语习得者将特征重新组合在L2词项上。本文旨在讨论二语习得中的特征及特征组装,分析特征重组与词项组装的问题,阐述特征组装假说的理论贡献和局限性。本文认为,特征重组是一个值得探索的二语习得研究范式。
Following Chomsky's language design that cross-linguistic variation results from parameter-setting which is essentially assembly of features into lexical items,Lardiere proposes Feature Assembly Hypothesis for second language acquisition,assuming that all features are accessible and that feature contrasts are detectable,and argueing that L2 learners can re-assemble features into L2 lexical items.This paper is a critical discussion of the theoretical contributions and limitations of Feature Assembly Hypothesis on the basis of an analysis of the nature of features and feature assembly,feature re-assembly and assembly of lexical items as well as problems in feature re-assembly.It is argued that the feature re-assembly approach is a promising paradigm for SLA research.
