摘要
从外语教师的学科特点出发,借鉴里查兹关于外语教师素质的"6维度说"以及吴一安的"4维度说",针对地方院校的办学定位,结合调查问卷的实证,来研究探讨地方院校外语教师的专业素质构成维度。研究发现,调查对象对外语教师的专业素质构成维度有所共识,这些维度包括:扎实的外语技能、强的外语教研能力、跨文化交际意识和自主发展与终身学习意识等。研究旨在给地方院校的外语教师在专业发展的方向和定位上提供一些借鉴,帮助相关教师有目的地、科学地进行专业发展。
This paper tries to discover the constituents of the professional quality for the foreign language teachers in local universities, in a perspective of the characteristics of foreign language teachers, drawing on Richards' "6 Dimensions" and Wu Yi-an's "4 Dimensions", based on the orientations of such universities and the data collected from the concerning questionnaires. The research has found out that constituents of professional quality for FL teachers should consist of language skills, research competence, awareness of cross-cultural communication as well as awareness of self development and lifelong learning. The purpose for the research is to provide some advice for the teachers and help them to conduct their professional development scientifically.
