A Simple Algorith for Automatic Drtermination of Boundary of an Area

本文提出一种确定区域边界的简单算法,从而可以从分布在平面上的一组点中选择出一串按一定顺序排列的点,使其按顺序连成的闭合折线围成的凸多边形包含其它所有的点。本方法可应用于绘制等值线圈的程序,也可用于油气储量计算程序。

This paper presents a simple algorithm for automatic determination of the boundary of an area. With this algorithm, a series of points in a proper sequence can be selected automatically from a group of points on a plane to make a convex pologon enclosed by broken lines which are connected in order.This convex pologon contains all the other points of the group. Practice show that this can be applied in the programm for plotting contour maps as well as in the programm for oil and gas reserve calculation.
