Gambling—a Disharmonious Phenomenon in the Construction of New Rural Community

赌博问题是和谐社会与新农村建设中极不和谐的音符。从主观因素上讲,人的劣根性决定了人永远也无法摆脱这样几种自然属性:以强凌弱,争强斗狠;巧取豪夺,不劳而获;贪婪无度,自私自利。赌博正是因应人的这几种自然属性产生、发展和屡禁不止的。同时,又由于法律方面存在漏洞,才使一些不法之徒将"娱乐"无限放大,导致赌博活动的蔓延。要有效地遏制和打击赌博行为,必须采取相应的措施彻底杜绝此类行为的发生。

Gambling, out of harmony with the society, is a disharmonious phenomenon m the construction ot new rural community. It originates and spreads out of the fact that human beings have their deep - rooted bad habits or nature as to bully the weak, to obtain without proper work, to be greedy and selfish on the one hand, and with the fact that the present legal system exists some loopholes. Effective measures should be taken to curb and wipe out gambling.
