再议中国基础外语教育发展之路

Reconsidering the Road for the Development of Basic Foreign Language Education in China

本文用历史的眼光,结合现实与未来,探索了我国基础外语教育发展之路。文章首先总结历史经验,吸取教训,提出基础外语教育应坚持科学持续的发展观点。同时,针对我国不平衡的国情,文章主张基础外语教育的未来发展应采取立足现实、着眼未来、不同层次区别对待、讲求实效。作者还建议外语界学者及广大外语教育工作者要能潜心研究、继承创新、渐进完善、积累经验、走向世界。

To find an appropriate road for the future scientific and sustainable development of the basic foreign language education(FLE) in China,the article first briefly recalls the history(1862-2010) of the basic FLE,by summing up experiences and drawing lessons.Then it proposes to distinguish between different cases and deal with each case in a special way in order to gain good results,bearing the country's unbalanced situations in mind while looking to the future.In the last part,the writer calls on the FLE scholars to research with great concentration,carry out the fine tradition and make innovation,accumulate experience gradually and spread it to the world.
