In the process of fermentation,it is often necessary to find the change rules of the study objects through experiments.These objects include medium design,technological parameter,etc;and the observation of the change laws is achieved through a suitable strategy to arrange scientific experiment design and optimization techniques.Various practical purposes can be reached by studying the laws including increasing production,reducing consumption,improving the quality of products and so on,especially for new bacteria and new product.This review summarizes the basic trends of optimizing fermentation medium,and compares with some general experimental designs and methods of data analysis.
