Requirement on the catalyst carriers by purification of tail gas form vehicles are reviewed.Several catalyst carriers that have been used in vehicle tail gas purification were discussed with respect to their performance.It was concluded that ceramic honeycomb of cordierite may be the most suitable catalyst carrier for vehicle tail gas purification.
