This paper provides the technical specifications,general layout of the DF7K-C diesel-electric shunting locomotive,Diesel engine choice and the structures and features of the main parts.All tests of the locomotive show that the traction performance meets the requirement of the client.The locomotives have been applied very well in China,which plays an exemplary role for Chinese railway products getting into the South American markets.And the paper also gives some recommendations for exporting locomotive products.
